Crewe Hall has long been a favourite venue of mine although it has been a little while since I have shot a wedding there. Although Crewe Hall was the main venue for the reception, this was the first time that I have shot a wedding where the bride could walk from her house to the church in under 2 minutes – it was literally across the old market square in Sandbach, Cheshire.
As soon as Richard – Isis’ father – contacted me I was really keen to shoot the wedding. He was an award winning copywriter for Saatchi and Saatchi in London some years ago and after meeting him and Isis in their tiny but eclectic house in Sandbach I knew this was going to be something special. The walls of the cottage ( tagged onto the back of a pub – it just gets better !!) were crammed with posters and memorabilia from throughout their lives including a limited edition print of the very famous last photographic session that Bert Stern took of Marilyn Monroe. So I knew that they all had a deep love of photography and that they wanted a realistic and honest record of their daughters wedding. When they started to tell me about the way the day would be planned, I was in !
So for this wedding I have decided to show ALL of the images that I presented to Isis and Lewis, so that you can see just what I deliver to couples in its entirety – including the group shots !
After the wedding in Sandbach we headed over to Crewe Hall for the reception. Crewe Hall is a great place to get married – beautiful historic architecture combined with a contemporary new section and fabulous grounds.
After some lightly posed images around the grounds of crewe Hall it was into the reception and some of the best speeches I have heard at a wedding – I expected nothing less from an award winning copywriter.
Anyway, here in its entirety is the Crewe Hall wedding of Isis and Lewis. Theres quite a lot of images but sit back and enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed taking them.
