Colshaw Hall wedding album

Way back in the summer  - remember that ? - I  had the great privilege to shoot my first wedding at Colshaw Hall - and have previously posted the images from Natalie and Davids wedding in a previous post. Since then they have selected the images for their album and I have posted here the images that they have selected from which I have designed their Colshaw Hall wedding album. When choosing images for a wedding album I always ask couples to select their favourites but allow me to add some which I feel add to the overall story of the day and enhance the selection. In Natalie and Davids case they made a selection of approx 120 from which I was able to put together a story of the day from getting ready to the evening celebrations using about 80 images.Interestingly though they chose not to include the sequence of images of Natalie opening her wedding present from David and her reaction to it  - so I convinced them that this was an important part of the day and should be includedIm not a great fan of filling every single page with edge to edge images - sometimes fewer images on the page can make the impact far greater, but of course there are times when a page of similar images can enhance the story too.So here are the selection of images - and yes there are group shots and detail shots and shots of Escala chatting with the happy couple after their amazing performance - but even though I document the day, when a couple have spent such a long time planning all the details there is a certain responsibility to record these as well as the pure documentary images - and after these the album spreads which were presented on a fabulous 12" square SIM2000 album with an acrylic cover in a beautiful presentation bag and cover - although not quite as nice a bag that Natalie received that morning !!
