Hi, I’m Paul Atherton, a freelance commercial photographer based in Macclesfield, working across Greater Manchester, Cheshire and throughout the UK.
With over 20 years’ experience, I specialise in documentary event photography, conference photography, corporate headshots and wedding photography, creating natural, authentic images for businesses, organisations and individuals. My central location allows me to work efficiently across the Cheshire and Greater Manchester region, while regularly covering events nationwide.

I have been a freelance commercial photographer in Greater Manchester and Cheshire for over 20 years and I would describe myself as a photographer who shoots many areas within photography. This can be very varied such as events, corporate conferences and head shot photography. I’ve even travelled to the Antarctic to photograph a marathon!!
Recently the trend for “brand or marketing photography” has become very popular - the goal of branding photography is to help a brand establish a strong visual identity that resonates with its target audience and differentiates it from its competitors. By creating a consistent look and feel across all marketing materials, branding photography can help build brand recognition, increase customer engagement, and ultimately drive sales.
